          The Central Government has launched a new initiative for the development and promotion of Sanskrit, the world's oldest language and the so-called Devvani. The Central Sanskrit University, run by the Union Ministry of Human Resources and Development, has decided to give annual scholarships to children studying Sanskrit. Under this, Sanskrit students from 9th standard to PHD will get a scholarship of 5 thousand to 25 thousand rupees every year.

These will be the conditions to apply

Application form for scholarship will be accepted online only. No consideration will be given to sending any application form or certificate by post or otherwise.

Preference order will be prepared for the scholarship of students up to Inter only on the basis of Sanskrit subject marks. But for Sanskrit Honors the order of preference will be decided on the integer of all the previous subjects.

Eligibility

● Sanskrit language of 100 marks has been taken as optional subjects in the previous class.

● General class students should have obtained at least 60% marks in Sanskrit language examination.

● 55% marks are compulsory for OBC students and 50% marks in SC, ST, Disability category.

● Payment will be made by DBT in July.

● 5 thousand rupees in 9th and 10th standard.

● 6 thousand rupees in 11-12 standard.

● 8 thousand rupees for graduation

● 10 thousand rupees for PG students.

● 25 thousand rupees for PHD or its equivalent.

    संस्कृत आयोग (1956-1957) की अनुशंसाओं के अनुपालन में भारत सरकार द्वारा 15 अक्टूबर, 1970 को संस्कृत के प्रति केन्द्र सरकार की नीतियों और कार्यक्रमों को लागू करने के उद्देश्य के लिए एक स्वायत्त संस्था के रूप में राष्ट्रिय संस्कृत संस्थान की स्थापना की गयी। संस्कृत के प्रचार-प्रसार हेतु मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय, सरकार भारत ने 7 मई, 2002 को इसे मानित विश्वविद्यालय घोषित किया। राष्ट्रीय मूल्याङ्कन एवं प्रत्यायन परिषद् (NAAC) द्वारा संस्थान को ‘ए’ श्रेणी में प्रत्यातित किया गया है, जो उच्चतम श्रेणी है।

      संस्थान संस्कृत भाषा और साहित्य के संवर्धन और प्रसार के लिए केन्द्र सरकार की विभिन्न योजनाओं का कार्यान्वयन करता है। तदनुसार सम्पूर्ण देश में संघीय परिसरों और अन्य संस्थानों से संबंधित संस्कृत के मेधावी छात्रों को संस्थान छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान करता है। संस्थान ने सभी विद्यार्थियों को नियमित रूप से पढ़ाई करने वाले विद्यार्थियों को एक योग्यता छात्रवृत्ति का पुरस्कार भी प्रदान किया है, जिसमें पाली/प्राकृत सहित संस्कृत में किसी मान्यता प्राप्त उच्चतम विद्यालयों से पूर्वमध्यमा से उत्तरमध्यमा/प्राक्-शास्त्री तक और शास्त्री/आचार्य/विद्यावारिधि के स्तर तक और इसके साथ आधुनिक संस्थानों के माध्यमिक/वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालयों (9 से 12 वीं कक्षा तक)/स्नातक/ स्नातकोत्तर/पी.एच्.डी. के स्तर छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान की जाती है, जिन्होंने छात्रवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन किया है।

    संस्कृत/पाली/प्राकृत और सभी विषयों में निम्नानुसार न्यूनतम अङ्क प्राप्त छात्र छात्रवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं-

सामान्य श्रेणी

- 60% अंक

अनुसूचित जाति/अनुसूचित जनजाति/भिन्न रूप से सक्षम

- 50% अंक

अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग

- 55% अंक

    प्रति वर्ष प्रदान की जाने वाली छात्रवृत्ति संख्या निधि की उपलब्धता पर निर्भर करती है। आवेदनों को विज्ञापन के माध्यम से आमन्त्रित किया जाता है, जो प्रति वर्ष जुलाई से अगस्त महीने के बीच लोकप्रिय समाचार पत्रों में प्रकाशित होता है।

      संस्थानं संस्कृतभाषायाः साहित्यस्य संवर्धनाय प्रसाराय च केन्द्रसर्वकारस्य निभिन्नयोजनानां कार्यान्वयनं करोति। तदनुगुणं भिन्नसंस्थासु संस्कृतसंस्थासु च अधीयानानां संस्कृतमेधाविच्छात्राणां कृते संस्थानं छात्रवृत्तिं प्रयच्छति। संस्थानं नियतरूपेण संस्कृतमधीयानानां छात्राणां कृतेपि योग्यताछात्रवृत्तिं प्रददाति। पाली-प्राकृतसहितं संस्कृतविषये मान्यताप्राप्तविद्यलयेषु पूर्वमध्यमा-उत्तरमध्यमा/प्राक्शास्त्रि- शास्त्रि-आचार्य-विद्यावारिधिस्तरेषु आधुनिकसंस्थासु माध्मिक/वरिष्ठमाध्यमिकविद्यालयेषु (9तः 12पर्यन्तम्) स्नातक-स्नातकोत्तर-पी.एच्.डी. स्तरेषु अधीयानानां छात्राणं कृते छात्रवृत्तिं प्रयच्छति।

 संस्कृत/पालीप्राकृतसहितान्यविषयेषु अधोलिखितानुसारम् अङ्कान् प्राप्ताः छात्राः छात्रवृत्यर्थम् आवेदनं कर्तुं शक्नुवन्ति।

       प्रतिवर्षं प्रदीयमाना छात्रवृत्तिः संख्यानुगुणं धनराश्यनुगुणं च निर्धारिता भवति।आवेदनं विज्ञापनद्वारा आमन्त्रितं भवति। विज्ञापनं प्रतिवर्षं जुलाई -अगस्तमासयोः अन्तराले लोकप्रियवृत्तपत्रिकासु प्रकाशितं भवति।

INTRODUCTION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

     The Government of India in pursuance of the recommendations of the Sanskrit Commission (1956-1957), established the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan on 15th October, 1970 as an autonomous organization for the purpose of implementing the policies and programmes of the Central Government for the development, propagation and promotion of Sanskrit. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has declared it as Deemed University on 7th May, 2002 and the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) has placed this university under the category ‘A’ which is the highest rank to be awarded to educational institutions by the NAAC.

     The Sansthan implements various Central Government Schemes for the enrichment and dissemination of Sanskrit language and literature. Accordingly, The Govt. of India awards scholarships through Sansthan to meritorious students of Sanskrit related to constituent campuses and other institutions throughout the country. The Sansthan also awards a merit scholarship on All India Basis to regular students pursuing higher course of studies in Sanskrit including Pali/Prakrit in any recognized traditional Pathashalas from Purvamadhyama to Uttarmadhyama/Prak-Shastri and the level of Shastri/Acharya/Vidya-Varidhi and Modern institutions from Secondary/Senior Secondary Schools (from 9th to 12th standard) and the levels of Graduation/Post Graduation/Ph.D.

     The Scholarship awarded to those student who have obtained the minimum percentage or equivalent grade in Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit and aggregate in all subjects can be applied for Scholarship –

General Category

- 60% marks

SC/ST/Differently abled

- 50% marks

OBC

- 55% marks

    The Number of Scholarships to be awarded each year depends upon the availability of funds. The applications will be invited through advertisement which circulated in popular Newpapers in all India every year in between July to August month.
